Botswana & Victoria Falls, Zimbabwe 2019

Botswana is truly a magical country. To the south is the austere, yet hauntingly beautiful, Kalahari Desert. Way to the north of the country the verdant greens of thick stands of papyrus reflect in the shimmering waters of the world’s largest inland delta - the Okavango. Botswana is one of the least tamed and most spectacular areas to witness big game anywhere on the African continent. From the comfort of our game-vehicles or while being paddled serenely in a traditional mokoro, we have the chance to become intimate with Africa’s top predators, grazers, birds and the incredible pachyderms - all of them truly wild. Botswana does not disappoint!

Join Wild Focus Expeditions on a mobile-tented safari. A mobile safari in the wild is certainly the most “real” bush experience available in Africa. We have modeled our mobile tented camps to meet your every need. Mobile safaris are designed so that we are able to move from one private camp to another allowing us fantastic flexibility to be “where the game is” during varying seasons of the year.

Our trip starts in the dusty frontier town of Maun where we will spend our first night before driving to our exclusive camp along the Khwai River. It is here in the lush Okavango Delta where elephants, lions, crocodiles and hopefully even African wild dogs await. After three nights along the Khwai River, our staff will break camp while we fly to an island in the middle of the Okavango Delta. We will spend two nights inside the Delta at a beautiful lodge before flying to Savuti in Chobe National Park, home of the famous Savuti pride of lions. After three nights, we take our last bush flight and fly to Kasane, near the border of Botswana. From here we will be transferred by road to Zimbabwe for our final two nights. We will stay in a lovely luxury Camp overlooking a water hole where animals come to drink. But the highlight of our last two nights is that our Camp will give us a constant view of the breath-taking spray rising from Victoria Falls. While we are here, we will visit Victoria Falls, have lunch in a café overlooking the Zambezi River, have sundowner cocktails at Batoka Gorge and have a special encounter with the largest mammals in Africa, the elephant.

We have wonderful surprises on this luxury trip to Botswana. As nature photographers, we have spent years in the bush tracking, spotting and anticipating wildlife behavior. Here in Botswana we can show off our skills to provide you with a truly memorable and life-changing African experience. Whether you come to photograph, to observe through binoculars, or just to absorb and enjoy, we promise to have you in the right place at the right time. Once you are bitten by the African bug, you will never be the same again.

Jami Tarris & Theo Allofs

Botswana is a country that engenders visions of Africa at it's best.  It is an untamed, pristine wilderness with an abundance of wildlife. From the wetlands of the Okavango Delta to the dry sands of the Kalahari, Botswana is unique and provides photographers and safari goers alike with an inextricable knowledge that they have experienced true Africa. Jami and Theo have spent more than two solid years in Botswana returning over and over again because it always remains "new". They even leave their Land Cruiser ("The Beast") in either Botswana or Namibia, because - for them, Africa is home.
